Sew-lutions

Sew-Fly is a 6-Week fashion and sewing career development and art enrichment program for students ages 10-16 years. In the Sew-Fly program, students will be able to make choices, achieve goals and overcome challenges that are appropriate to their age levels. Careers they will learn about include:

Fashion Design              Production

  Graphic Design          Manufacturing

    Merchandising           Sales/Marketing

Sew-Fly program provides students with positive, creative and practical activities rather than mindlessly scrolling through social media. Participants will learn basic techniques for designing and sewing clothing and accessories. Through literature, art, media, sewing equipment and discussions, Sew-Fly incorporates elements that appeal to young people and will assist them in achieving school objectives such as teamwork and improving peer relations. Participants will complete multiple sewing projects.

In the Sew-Fly Program, students will be able to imagine themselves with a career in fashion, an industry that never goes out of style. They will have the opportunity to express themselves in a FUN and SOCIAL environment that aims to increase their confidence level, improve attitude and build self-esteem. The students will have a sense of empowerment and a belief that anything in the world of FASHION, ART, and DESIGN is possible!
