Sew-Fly is a FASHION & SEWING CAREER DEVELOPMENT and ART ENRICHMENT program for students / youth. In the Sew-Fly program, students are able to make choices, achieve goals and overcome challenges that are appropriate to their age levels. Careers they learn about include:

Fashion Design              Production

  Textile Print Design          Manufacturing

    Merchandising            Sales/Marketing

Sew-Fly provides students with positive, creative and practical activities rather than mindlessly scrolling through social media. Participants learn basic techniques for designing and sewing clothing and accessories. Through literature, art, media, sewing equipment and discussions, Sew-Fly incorporates elements that appeal to young people and will assist them in achieving school objectives such as teamwork and improving peer relations. Participants complete multiple sewing projects.

In the Sew-Fly Program, students are able to imagine themselves with a career in fashion, an industry that never goes out of style. They have the opportunity to express themselves in a FUN and SOCIAL environment which aims to increase their confidence level, improve problem solving and build a life-long skill.  Students have a sense of empowerment and a belief that anything in the world of FASHION, ART, and DESIGN is possible!
